Accord provides object based Process Control solutions, where the equipment and program control are configured and managed by a runtime-library and data service without tagging, coding or scripting. This is much more efficient than standard programming, and leads to short system implementation times.
The platform also, uniquely, provides matching process and validation documentation for the configured systems, increasing the saving on system generation time.
Accord has been built by Logicon Ltd in Ireland, a team of automation engineers, to provide full dependable transparent control, HMI and MES functionality without system integration issues.
Accord is installed and established in many Sectors, – it is being used for management of processes in plants such as large-scale Pharmaceutical, Chemical Plants, Water and Biogas Plants. Process Cells such as Reactors, Dryers, Whey Plants, Alternative Foods Plants, Mills, Tank Farms, CIP and SIP processes, Chemical Blending, Storage and Loading System Plants are controlled by Accord systems.
It is used as the production management system in plants in Ireland, UK, Europe, China and Middle East.

Environments and Pricing:
Accord is provided as Development and Production Environments.
The Development Environment allows development of Process Models and HMI’s, with testing on PLC Emulator and Simulator and generation of Process Design and Test documents. The Development Environment is provided as an annual licence with full support.
The Production Environment provides connection to PLC’s (through OPC Servers) instead of Emulators, and HMI Clients. Redundancy and Data Integrity modules can also be enabled. The Production Environment is quoted as perpetual licence and support can be quoted also.
The software is the same in both environments, the choice is made to make the functionality clearer, just through Emulator or PLC access in Designer. Recipe, Plan/MES and Audits can be used in either environment.
Accord is priced for mid range; an Accord project should be significantly cheaper for licences than any large brand PCS systems, and also significantly cheaper for development than a standard PLC/HMI project due to the savings in development and documentation.
